Guest Post: New Novel - Alias Jeannie Delaney - Book 2 - The Outlaw's Return

Almost a year ago I featured Go West Girl, Book 1 of author, Kit Mackenzie's Alias Jeannie Delaney series.

Now, the next book in the series, Alias Jeannie Delaney - Book 2 - The Outlaw's Return, is soon to be released in August, and is available for pre-order on Amazon.

If you love a powerful female lead in a traditional western packed with action and adventure, this is the novel for you.

The story centers on Cowgirl Jeannie Morgan who grew up in Coyote Creek, Wyoming, where she became persecuted for her lethal gun and a sexuality that swings both ways.

Tomboy beautiful and tough as the nails in a miner's boots, she is on the run with a bunch of boys who would die for her.

Her snake strike gun, soul-slicing gaze and dangerous magnetism leaves a trail of intense emotions, killings and would-be death threats in her wake. Heading south, she finds herself becoming a legend.

She's in deep trouble, but her home town demands her return and they pin a badge on her. It's her job to kill or be killed. If she survives, will it be happily ever after or will her dynamism, snake-strike gun and sexuality finish her off?

Author Kit Mackenzie (also known as Artist, Writer, and Mental Health Advocate, Jo B Creative, to long time readers of this blog, writes for her blog, Jo.B.Creative) lives in beautiful Hampshire, in the UK, with her soulmate hubby and their lovable cat Lulu.

Kit has been fascinated by the wild west since her teens - which she considers strange, due to her own bucolic English environment. Writing a novel was among the zillion things Kit wanted to accomplish.

That became reality when she committed to writing Alias Jeannie Delaney, the life story of a female frontier hero who's the fastest gun in the west - a cowgirl, outlaw leader, jailbird, deputy sheriff, and ultimately a powerful rancher and mayor and posse member.

Even after finishing this mammoth three-book epic western, Kit feels she still has more stories to write about Jeannie, and I hope she does.

Boom Crash Opera Born Classic But Not Again

Boom Crash Opera are an Australian Band that reached the peak of their popularity in the mid to late nineteen eighties. They are a band that I knew about at that time but was never really excited by until they released their ill fated double album Born and Born Again in 1995 (Album cover pictured). At the time of its release I was very much into emerging Australian musical acts and was also looking out for new sounds that were different and had kind of a futuristic/electronic sound. Artists that I was buying at the time included; Swoop , Nine Inch Nails and Pop Will Eat Its Self . As well as a really interesting release by David Bowie, the concept album, Outside . Born was a fairly radical departure for Boom Crash Opera (BCO). Ever since Spinal Tap popularized the notion of turning an amp up to eleven audio systems have been rising to the challenge of louder, more awesome sound. In particular, car audio systems have embraced the notion of the bigger the noise the better the sound must surely be. What I'd like to know is, if these sound systems are so good, why do they make all music sound the same... Doof, Doof, Doof? You've all heard them. One of my most personal public videos is a collection of outtakes edited together with my narration, read word for word, from my blog post written back on August 5th, 2007 titled Is Being Me Good Enough? Bruce, South Australia - A Forgotten Aussie Town with Spectacular Landscape Views and Potential

The Bruce Railway Station. Now a private residence. V isiting the almost forgotten town of Bruce reminds me of visiting Silverton back in 2007, except Silverton has been revived into a kind of arts town with a very famous pub. Bruce, on the other hand seems a little too spread out, and a bit too out of the way to make a similar 'arts' kind of revival. Bruce's Pub appears to be an art studio with signs of restoration work in progress. The main part of town appears to be the Bruce railway station (now a private residence) and a pub, also privately owned and possibly was, or still is, and artist studio. Other buildings and homesteads are set fairly wide apart, and are mostly privately owned homes. You don't get much sense of being in a town as such.
