Kickflips Continued and Trying Backside 50-50s on my Skateboard Slider

I have been thinking about my board slider and how I might feature it more in my video skating sessions. I don't use it very often because all I can do on it is really short nose slides and fairly short board slides.

In order to use it more I need to get used to doing grind tricks on top of it but because it has fairly large coping I don't find it easy to lock my wheels into it - even for a basic grind trick like a 50-50. As such, ollieing onto it (which I would do without a second thought if it was a concrete curb), seems like quite a dangerous proposition.

However, after some consideration, I decided lifting my front truck onto the slider and then trying to leverage my back truck on in a kind of backside 50-50 slappy motion, seemed doable. So that's what you can see my try in my latest driveway skateboard session in the video below.

Naturally I did spend some time trying kickflips first as I'm still trying to land these. Unfortunately my mind was more focussed on trying the backside 50-50s on the board slider.

As you can see in the video it wasn't the most successful start to learning backside 50-50s but by the end of the session I did feel just a little bit more confident about standing on my board, on top of the board slider.

Later I found out that all this grinding was scratching some of the grippiness off the coping, making longer boardslides, without wax, a possibility.

W hen I first heard the news that JD Vance was selected as Trump's running mate for Vice President I must admit, I had no idea who he was. Movie Review: Madame Web (2024) Minor Spoilers

I 'm willing to bet a lot of people haven't seen this film, and probably will never plan to watch it. Madame Web was poorly reviewed by critics and largely ignored by audiences. For myself, I'll only see a Sony superhero movie in cinemas if Spiderman is actually in it. For everything else I can wait until it hits a streaming service I'm subscribed to. Sony's Spiderman/Marvel adjacent movies aren't actually terrible movies. They're not great movies either but I've never put one on and not watched it all the way to the end. I do find them watchable... just not really rewatchable.
