Burra Skatepark. (Opposite Burra Art Gallery shown top right of the photo). Photo - TET |
On my last trip to Clare, South Australia, my partner and I also drove to the nearby town of Burra. Having been to Burra a few times over the years I remember there used to be a metal (I think) mini ramp opposite the Burra Art Gallery.

The weather had not been that great all day, so we hadn't spent a whole lot of time walking around. It wasn't until the end of our visit that I happened to notice the new Burra skatepark was just a bit further up from where the mini ramp had been.
It was easy to miss as you had to go down an embankment to get there, as well a fairly large tree obstructed the park if you were over where the mini ramp used to be.
Unfortunately by that time the weather was really settling in for some rain so I only managed to take a few pictures, with no time to skate at all.
Overall, it's not a big park, but the layout includes a nice size mini-ramp/half bowl that I think would really be a lot of fun (and I wish they would add something similar to my local skatepark in Gawler, South Australia).
Anyway, I think the pictures show you all you need to know. The park is opposite the Burra Art Gallery. You can't really see it from the road, which is why we missed it, but there is a car park right next to it, alongside the public toilets, so pull in there and have a look around for it.
