If you live in Australia you probably caught this video on Channel Nine's 'i-caught' show which premiered here tonight. It's an American show (or at least the host is American) and 'Battle at Kruger' was the very first video they showed.
As far as wildlife videos go this is the most amazing thing I've ever seen. This has got everything, water buffalo, lions and a crocodile all battling it out over a baby buffalo that could well be both the luckiest and unluckiest offspring on the planet.
The lesson here is that even the kings (or in this case queens) of the jungle shouldn't get between a mother water buffalo and its baby.
Watch the video and be amazed.
This was my second heelflip attempt of the day. I was pleased I at least got the full rotation even if I didn't land it. I am determined to keep skating for as long as possible, though, since my last post in May 2024, about reigniting my kickflip battle at age 54 , I've probably been skateboarding less than I had hoped. Still haven't landed that elusive kickflip either. I really hate editing. Looking at my camera equipment the other day I was thinking what is the most minimal setup that I can put together that would make it easy to film skate videos anywhere? I landed on using my Samsung A13, Android phone, mounted on a GoPro selfie stick that has a tripod base in the handle, and a wireless mic I bought some t...
Awesome! Just shows how the herd can win if they all gang up! I would have thought that young one would have been too badly injured, what with the croc and the three lions1 It looked OK though.
ReplyDeleteTook that buffalo quite awhile to get back with the herd. That last lion was game - you would have thought it would have given up sooner!
I went to look in my TV paper when you said this program had been on, as hadn't seen it.
ReplyDeleteI saw it was indeed on, but as far as I know, there have been no promos for it, not even in my Sunday Times TV mag, so that's why I missed it. Will have a look next time, or tape it if it clashes with something, to see what it is.
